Jim maintains a broad commercial practice, with a focus on banking, debt financing and general corporate transactions. Additionally, Jim acts for lenders and debtors in both personal bankruptcy and corporate insolvency matters.

Jim completed his legal studies at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law, where he was actively involved with the Faculty’s Student Legal Services as a program leader with the Legal Education division.

Prior to joining Miles Davison as an associate, Jim summered and completed his articles in the Calgary office of a leading national law firm.

As a fifth-generation Calgarian, Jim is passionate about the city of Calgary and its community. When he is not in the office, Jim can usually be found out for a run, at the gym or outside enjoying the Calgary sunshine.
