Professional Background
Jim articled in Calgary and has been a partner of the
firm since 1972. He has conducted a general practice
with an emphasis on litigation and has appeared
before all levels of the Alberta Courts. He successfully
conducted the defense of a liability claim against
a ski area in one of the longest civil jury trials in Alberta.
As well, Jim is experienced in the
areas of corporate-commercial law and oversees the real
estate department at Miles Davison LLP.
Although continuing a general practice,
Jim's focus has increasingly shifted to the defense of
ski areas and in the field of sport and adventure liability
work.
