Professional Background
Sean articled with Parlee Irving Henning Mustard & Rodney,
then in 1984 joined with another Calgary law firm as
a junior associate. Sean practiced with McNiven Kelly
for about 13 years prior to the merger with Miles Davison
McCarthy in January 2001. Sean has been a partner
of the firm since 1993.
Sean is a trial lawyer. He has a broad
litigation practice involving business and commercial
disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency matters and insurance
based disputes. He is developing an energy regulatory practice.
Sean is involved at all levels of the
Alberta Courts and is actively involved in legal education
and the Canadian Bar Association.

Avocations
Sean is willing to try any sport with the exception of
curling. When he is not in Court, he may be
found skiing the Rocky Mountains with his family
or watching his daughters excel in the arena or
on the soccer pitch. He also loves to sail when
weather and time permit.
